GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE UNITED NATIONS SET TO ONCE AGAIN CONDEMN THE U.S. BLOCKADE OF CUBA

The vote is scheduled to take place on November 3rd, and as with previous resolutions, the overwhelming majority of countries will vote in favour, with only the U.S. and Israel (and now perhaps Ukraine) voting against.

But the UN vote is non-binding, and U.S. imperialism will no doubt ignore/dismiss the outcome. This will again expose the utter hypocrisy of Biden, Blinken and other Western leaders when they talk about 'respect for the international rules-based order'!

It will take pressure on the ground - including Canadians pressuring the Trudeau government to take a firm stance against Washington's immoral and illegal blockade - to finally end this heinous crime against Cuba and its people.

Stop Using Human Tragedies to Instigate “Velvet Revolution” in Iran!

On October 3rd, the U.S. Peace Council issued an important statement which "unequivocally condemns the events which led to the death of Mahsa Amini in the custody of the 'Morality Police' for failing to wear a hijab."

At the same time, the USPC expressed the concern that "this death is being used by the United States and its allies for nefarious purposes unrelated to a bona fide concern for women’s rights. The Western media ... have taken advantage of this human tragedy to start a globally coordinated campaign against the government of Iran, which is aimed at discrediting the Iranian government and justifying a forced regime change in that country."
