Vertigo can feel unsettling, especially when you do not know why it is happening.
The Dix-Hallpike maneuver is one test physiotherapists use to help check for BPPV, which stands for benign paroxysmal positional vertigo.
BPPV is a common type of vertigo linked to the inner ear. It can happen when tiny crystals move out of place and affect your balance system.
This test helps your physiotherapist look for signs that BPPV is causing your vertigo. If the signs point to BPPV, vestibular rehab can include specific treatment movements to help. If they do not, your physiotherapist can look at other possible causes of dizziness or vertigo.
If youβre experiencing vertigo, dizziness, or feeling off-balance, you may benefit from a vestibular rehab assessment. π Find a Lifemark clinic near you: https://tinyurl.com/3ze2tp8c

Squat down. Keep your heels planted. Touch your elbows to the floor. Sounds simple, right? π
A few brave team members took on the elbow squat challenge, a fun mobility check for hips, ankles, balance, squat depth, and movement control.
Some nailed it.
Some negotiated with gravity.
Could you do it? π
