Meanwhile we've got award of excellency
Congratulations to Eugene Zhilinsky who has received an Award of Excellence from the American Society of Architectural Illustrators for his watercolor of Kingsway-Lambton United Church addition by Black & Moffat Architects.

Architectural renderings, the secret of creating (workshop)
Actually no secrets. There were CAD drawings from developers, tough timing and considered and agreed fee. So to save time and do the right thing we created 3D model. Then trace it nicely, transferred our drawing to watercolor paper and actually paint it. Everything goes according developer's requirement so our part was strictly technical. And artistic of course. Would it be so great without special skills? No. Would special skills is a must? Yes!

We have a discussion recently with potential client - if we shall just come and build something from skratch? The answer was - we design first. Or sketch a proposal at least. Build me an addition and I figure out if I like it? We don't think so :)
