33 years ago today, ‘Just Kickin’ It’ hit No. 1 on the R&B chart, where it stayed for four weeks.

Jermaine Dupri and Manuel Seal wrote and produced the first single from ‘Hummin’ Comin’ at ‘Cha’. It peaked at No. 2 on the Hot 100, went platinum that November and was certified double platinum in 2023. For Kandi, Tiny, LaTocha and Tamika, it was the start of a run.
