and I took our nephews to the game today, and I realized it had been a while since I wore my fav jersey. It’s a pro home shirt from the 90s, signed by number 8 Chad Kilger, who was part of the blockbuster trade that sent to the Ducks in 1995. Selanne would then claim the number. Kilger would later end up on the Leafs. As a kid I wanted this jersey more than any other. It’s one of my prized Ducks possession from their early years.

I used to love Major League Baseball. I never forgave them for the strike of 94 and the demise of the Montréal Expos. But I’ll never stop loving the Toronto Blue Jays. I was lucky enough to see Joe Carter hit his famous series-winning homer in 1993. My Dad managed to get us tickets on the third baseline, it’s something I’ll never forget. Then I went through my whole brooding phase, as one does, and I sold my ticket stubs on eBay. The other day I was going through a few things, and I found my stubs from the ALCS that year. It has always irritated me how the Jays and the Raptors are treated by pundits and fans in their respective leagues. Here’s hoping they go all the way.
