⭐ 🦸 Superhero Alert 🦸 ⭐ The LHA is delighted to share that our U11 Red team is participating in the "Capes for Kids" fundraiser in support of Holland Bloorview. The team kicked off their efforts with a skate-a-thon last Sunday at Leaside Arena and the players will wear their capes all week to raise awareness for this great cause. 🙌 The team has already raised over $3,700 and they aren't done yet. Fundraising efforts continue until March 7th. What a great contribution to our community! Late commitment but better than not .... we will join a skate-a-thon to raise money for kids with disabilities. Please support this cause - even $10 can help. Proceeds go to Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital - they will use the funds to purchase art supplies, music therapy and other great rehabilitation aids to bring smiles to children of the hospital.

Our "Smile Boxes" are made from wrapped shoe boxes. We hope that you can help us fill them with useful and fun items for kids. A new pair of socks, new gloves, school supplies, small craft kits or activity books, small toys, toiletries and/or $10 Grocery Gift cards are just some ideas and items that we are collecting.

We are hoping to make a difference this holiday season for some kids in need. We are creating Holiday "SMILE BOXES" out of wrapped shoe boxes and donating them to children and families in need. Our goal is to make a minimum of 20-30 Boxes. We have started the shoe box wrap-a-thon.
