Here's an Easter anthem I composed a few years ago, to a text by John Byrom. And it comes with a bit of a back-story. According to a book called "Memorials of Hindley" (an account of daily life in the English village of Hindley, Lancashire, in the 1800s), a certain Timothy Eatock liked to sing Byrom's anthem in the local church.
