How to stay safe while boating this summer – Breakfast Television 05/21/2026

Toronto Search and Rescue - Marine, proud member of Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary Central and Arctic Inc. spent the teaching Breakfast Television host Carlos Bustamante about water and boating safety.

The water temperature was 4-5 degrees Celsius.

As you can seen from the man overboard rescue the life jacket kept Bob on the surface of the water, face up. This is very important as it keeps you alive but also makes you far more visible.

Wearing a life jacket is the most important rule regardless of you are a good swimmer.
No one plans an accident or an emergency.

Thank you to Breakfast Television for helping us educate the viewers on staying safe while enjoying our beautiful lake and waterways.
