I’ve been really thinking about what it means to be an ally and how to meaningfully show up. I hope you join me on my journey grounded in love as I continue to learn and unlearn things about anti-racism and to understand my privilege and leverage the power that comes with It.
I’ve been learning about how asians play a role in anti-black racism and how to do better and what we can do to support the black community. I’ve been reading about the model minority myth which serves as a racial wedge to divide groups and the conversations we need have. I know that fear of saying the wrong thing or being seen as too “political” has often given me pause in standing up. Well, the world is too messed up for us not to disrupt it. I may make mistakes but I will continue to learn along the way and course correct. I promise to stay committed to actively show up and strive to challenge the status quo. I will no longer be scared silent with the fear of making mistakes or making situations uncomfortable and use it as an excuse to do nothing.

I finally got around to trying out ’s alcohol ink set. It ain’t pretty but it was so fun to try!
