Our hormones can be our greatest teachers if we start to listen to them!
That spike in hunger 5-10 days before your period is normal and is actually VITAL to listen to!
Itâs not bad, it doesnât mean you will âgain weightâ in those couple days of increased caloric intake, doesnât mean youâre âweakâ or âon trackâ and itâs nothing to be ashamed of.
Itâs simple:
Our metabolism increased â our body burns more calories â caloric needs increase thus hunger increases.
If we listen:
We increase (NUTRIENT DENSE) calories during mid luteal â our body is properly nourished for progesterone production â our PMS symptoms subside â our cycle health is enhanced
Iâm not saying this is the one and only things to support hormone production, but it is a key signal to listen to!
Just make sure youâre satiating those hunger cravings with the right choices before you opt for the processed sugary empty carbs (cookies, chips, take out, pastries, white bread) and opt for nutrient dense food!
