First Aid for Dogs and Cats
The online First Aid for Dogs and Cats course teaches you how to respond to common emergencies involving cats and dogs. Enroll now to protect your furry friends with confidence.

What will you learn?
• How to handle common dog and cat emergencies confidently.
• Skills to perform dog first aid and cat first aid
• Learn to identify normal vital signs and perform CPR for dogs and cats
• Learn how to manage wounds, respond to seizures, and support overall dog and cat health and well-being.

Who should take the First Aid for Dogs and Cats course?
• Pet owners and anyone interested in becoming a dog sitter or a cat sitter.
• Anyone 13 years of age and older. This course has no prerequisites.

Canadian Red Cross Online-Based Learning
• Self-directed: Learn at your own pace by working through the training materials online.
• Duration: Approximately 1 hour online.

Stay Safe programs are from 9 - 2pm. Participants must be 9 or completed Grade 3 to participate. Course information can be found at: shorturl.at/pzDEU
Standard First Aid and CPR (Ages 14-16) - This course is a blended program requiring the completion of an online course prior to the start date. Cost is $120 and students will be given a workplace accepted First Aid certification good for 3 years.

All Babysitting and Stay Safe classes are $65 cash or E Transfer and are due a week prior to the class. The town of Black Diamond has offered a subsidy to lower costs for its residents. If you are a local of Black Diamond you will receive the course at a discounted rate ($30). Thank you to the Town of Black Diamond for providing this opportunity to its residents.
