Our Tenant Relations Department is the busy hub of MQHS, responsible for coordinating tenant relations and housing services. We are looking for somebody with experience working in the housing management industry and wants a chance to lead a growing team of hard-working Tenant Relations Liaisons. We are seeking a Tenant Relations Manager to work within the Tenant Relations Department
Primary Responsibilities
•Maintains a high level of knowledge relating to: AHMA, B*H, MQHS, RTA, and other agency policies as they relate to Tenant Relations.
•Ensures the team is appropriately supported, trained, and managed, oversees, and coordinates the activities of the Tenant Relations department.
•Acts as the primary point of contact on tenant rents and arrears
•Approves recommendations for applicant approval and placement
•Prepares for and represents the Society at all arbitration hearings
Preferred Qualifications
•Excellent negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution skills.
•Proven ability to lead and manage a team
•5+ years of experience in Property Management. Sound knowledge and understanding of the philosophies, principles, and practices of property management, particularly in the social housing sector.
•Must have strong Computer skills and experience: MS Office Suite and or/G-Suite, general database/spreadsheet applications and general operations of the computer.
•Interact effectively and tactfully with people of various backgrounds and cultures

Fully licensed Early Childhood Educator
To carry out the goals and objectives of the Aboriginal Head Start Daycare Program under the direction of the classroom teachers.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the on-going operation of the program to provide a developmentally appropriate classroom environment that reflects the children’s learning and growth.
Demonstrate cultural competency and respect for the child’s background by assisting in incorporating the cultural, linguistic and familial values and beliefs into the childcare program and lesson plans.
Participate in providing a classroom environment that encourages parent and elder participation. Help to ensure a healthy, safe, clean and developmentally appropriate environment for children.
Ability to work with Aboriginal families, willingness to share and participate in cultural activities and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Eligible applicants: Must have BC Early Childhood Educator license to practice. Preference will be given to applicants who have Infant/toddler license to practice or in the process of obtaining. Applicants must have or be willing to obtain within 3 months of hiring ChildSafe First Aid and Foodsafe level 1.

We are looking for a self-motivated, energetic Tenant Support Worker for our newest housing development in Hope, BC. The Tenant Support Worker will facilitate building a sense of community among Riverstone residents while supporting the Tenant Relations Department in safeguarding rules and regulations of the MQHS rental agreement.
Primary Responsibilities
• Establishes working relationships and liaisons with and refers tenants to organizations and/or services within the community as appropriate to their needs.
• Work closely with the Tenant Relations team in resolving chronic and/or outstanding tenant issues.
• Connect with new and established tenants at regular intervals to ensure tenant well-being and to clarify Society’s policies and guideline.
• Provides support and referrals on an individual basis on such matters as tenant disputes, budgeting, unit cleanliness, education, employment, and other personal issues.
Preferred Qualifications
• Certificate in Social Work or related fields
• General knowledge of Residential Tenancy Act
• Computer experience in MS Office Suite
• Understanding of confidentiality principles is compulsory.

Position Summary:
To carry out the goals and objectives of the Aboriginal Head Start Daycare Program under the direction of the Program Coordinator while maintaining the standards of the Community Care Facility Act, and an early childhood philosophy.
Starting Wage: $25.00 per hour
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
•Abide by the regulations set out in the Smameletawtxw Little Pebbles Daycare Procedures and Policy Manual as applicable to your position with Aboriginal Head Start
•Actively contribute to the on-going operation of the program to provide a developmentally appropriate classroom environment that reflects the children’s learning and growth
•Contribute to the development and implementation of age appropriate lesson plans to nurture and stimulate all domains of children’s development
•Ensure guidance of children’s behavior that encourages self-concept and are consistent with the AHS philosophy and ECE guidelines
•Assist children in expressing themselves by listening and responding with questions or comments that extend conversations
Qualifications:
•Possess and maintain a valid Early Childhood Education Certificate and a License to Practice (in accordance with Community Care Facilities Branch licensing requirements).
•Valid safety oriented first-aid certificate
•Criminal Record Clearance
•Proof of immunization
•Awareness of child development milestones ages 0 – 6
•Ability to work with Aboriginal families and willingness to share in and participate in cultural activities
