Structural Innovation & Durability

The lower deck was finished in durable, waterproof vinyl, built on a cantilevered structure—a brilliant, post-free design that serves two functions: it seamlessly covers the garage entrance door for weather protection and supports the entire weight of the custom TimberTech advanced PVC staircase above it.

The primary pergola frame is built from premium kiln dry Douglas Fir, utilizing Simpson Strong-Tie hidden connectors for a clean, furniture-grade aesthetic where no hardware is visible. For the perimeter, we used Azek Frontier PVC for the exterior fascia, guaranteeing decades of resistance to rot and moisture.

Unmatched Luxury and Comfort
The functional details are just as impressive. The staircase features integrated Lumenstar LED hardscape lights for safety and ambiance. The slightly tinted glass roof allows beautiful light while reducing glare. For ultimate comfort, the main area includes a remote-control ceiling fan and powerful remote-control gas heaters. Complete the control with automated retractable blinds for instant shade and privacy.

Out with the old, in with the new! 🙌 Our newest porch stair build project just got a major upgrade with this stunning, high-performance staircase. We opted for Azek PVC stringer skirts and risers for minimal maintenance. We also tried out PVC Alaskan Driftwood for the steps that resembles the texture of composite but without the draws backs for incredible durability against the elements.

But we also wanted to maintain the original charm, so we carefully replicated the look of the existing railings with beautiful, tight-knot cedar. These new railings were oil-primed and sealed tight with Quad Max caulk before painting for long-lasting protection in this rainy Vancouver climate.

So pleased with the result – a perfect blend of longevity and timeless aesthetics! ✨
