Meet The Lady Behind The Biz
After attending university for Commercial Animation, I spent 7 years working in video games as a digital artist, production manager and user experience designer. But I still dreamed of living that unconventional creative life. Makers gotta make! I heard the call and listened up. Summer of 2017, I left my day job and The Funky Fresh was born.
The name Funky Fresh comes from a slang adjective I love from the 90’s hip hop era. I associate it with being fun, colourful and unique. My favourite Urban Dictionary definition: “A term used to describe something that is cool, likeable or enjoyable, that is also new.”
I currently work as an artist + designer + maker in Vancouver, BC, encouraging my fellow stationery lovers to get creative, send some love and enjoy the little things in life.
