HIGH GAS CONSUMPTION

If your gas bill looks unreasonably high, you may want to make sure if it is based on your actual consumption. First thing that I would advise you to do is to go and check your gas meter to see what your current gas consumption is. The reading off the meter must be higher than the one on you bill. Having known a number of days that passed from the date of the bill and your current consumption as well as the weather pattern in the previous couple of days, you would be able to roughly calculate the consumption back to the billing date and compare the numbers.

Further steps you may want to consider would be calling an HVAC tech or contractor you can trust to inspect every single gas burning appliance you have in your house to make sure they all have correct gas manifold pressure and are not overfiring.
