Today, on National Indigenous Peoples Day, we recognize and celebrate the rich cultures, histories, traditions, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples across Ontario and Canada.

Indigenous communities have played a vital role in shaping our province and country through their leadership, knowledge, resilience, and deep connection to the land. This day is an opportunity to honour that legacy and reflect on the importance of truth, understanding, and reconciliation.

We encourage everyone to take time to learn, reflect, and participate in community events as we recognize the enduring contributions of Indigenous Peoples across Ontario and Canada.
