Yeah... No.

Everyone can relate to ADHD traits and experiences sometimes, but that doesn't mean that "everyone has it"

Just like everyone isn't a "little" autistic or everyone doesn't have a "little" OCD.

We need to stop saying things like this, for good

I LOVE when people give me the opportunity to talk about posture for 2 reasons:

1) I'm a movement coach and this is what I do and what I'm passionate about!

2) Throughout my whole life people commented on my posture, from friends to family to strangers.

It ended up becoming one of my biggest insecurities and after years of trying to โ€œfixโ€ my posture I learned that because posture is genetic, nothing I was going to do was going to change the way my body is shaped

Yes, strengthening the postural muscles is important, but it's not going to change the way you look. It's best if you learn to accept the way you look and take care of your body the best you can.

And that means moving more, not trying to force yourself to look a certain way for no reason but to appease society ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

Bottom line is that telling someone to fix their posture doesn't help anyone but if you want to do something to help yourself, comment the word MOVEMENT to add more movement into your day in an effective and accessible way ๐Ÿ’š

It's exhausting trying to keep up with these ๐Ÿซ

I could go on and on but these are some subtle social cues that happen often that I still struggle to navigate even if I'm aware of them

If you're also autistic, do you relate?

My skin might look โ€œclear" but there's a lot that you don't see ๐Ÿ‘€
