The Whythouse

I'm honestly at a loss for words... and if you know me, that doesn't happen very often.

When I started making music as The Whythouse, I never imagined this journey would lead me here. Today, I'm incredibly proud and humbled to share that FULL TANK OF GAS has been nominated for Modern Country / Pop Country Album of the Year at the 2026 Josie Music Awards, taking place this September at the legendary Grand Ole Opry.

To even have my name mentioned alongside so many incredible independent artists is something I'll never take for granted. Every late night in the studio, every milestone, every radio interview, every show, every stream, every song purchase, every playlist add, every social media share, and every person who told a friend about my music helped make this possible. They say it takes a village... I guess mine just happens to have great taste in music. Seriously though, thank you. You've allowed The Whythouse to continue growing, and I hope you know this nomination belongs to all of us.

A special thank you to Khenne Māzze Vandenberg . From laying down incredible guitar work to engineering and producing some of the songs on this album, your fingerprints are all over this project. But your greatest contribution wasn't just the music my brother it was your friendship. Your wisdom, patience, honesty, and belief in me have made me a better artist and a better man. Thank you for always pushing me to be better and for standing beside me through this journey.

To Dave Murray... thank you for walking into my life in 2023. You are one of the most creative musicians and producers I've ever had the privilege of working with. Your work on songs like Full Tank of Gas , Whiskey and Coffee? helped bring this album to life in ways I never imagined. More importantly, your work ethic, your creativity, and the way you challenge me to grow...not just in music, but as a person has left a lasting impact on me. Youre one of the good ones and I'm grateful to call you my friend.

To my family, friends, radio stations, DJs, industry supporters, and every fan from Canada to wherever these songs have found a home...Thank you. Every message, every stream, every sale, every kind word has carried me farther than I could have ever gone alone.

No matter what happens this September at the Grand Ole Opry, we've already won. An independent artist from Canada is walking into one of country music's most iconic venues with an Album of the Year nomination. That's something nobody can ever take away.

So let's gas up the whip enjoy the ride, and see what happens next.
