Reward And Accountability
The land and country are more important than any leader. True patriotism requires accountability to protect the nation’s sovereignty and its people.

Congratulations to the gallant forces of the SPLA-IO and Gaatborchar for successfully clearing Waat early this morning.
This decisive achievement reflects resilience, discipline, and commitment in the face of significant internal and external challenges.
This victory comes despite deliberate confusion and internal disruption orchestrated by Hon. Pal Mai Deng, Lt. Gen. Peter Thok Chuol, and Maj. Gen. Dheling Keah Chuol, whose actions continue to recklessly incite confrontation, promote misguided engagement with the enemy and systematically undermine the legitimate leadership of the Acting Chairman, Rt. Hon. Oyet Nathaniel Pierino.
Of particular concern is the unilateral and illegitimate reinstatement by Maj. Gen. Dheling Keah Chuol of Gen. Peter Ruot Chuol as sector commander, an action taken in direct defiance of his lawful relief by the Acting Chairman. This constitutes a clear act of insubordination and a deliberate attempt to sabotage the institutional command structure of the SPLA-IO.
The continued pattern of defiance, political interference and deliberate sabotage exhibited by these individuals is unsustainable and will ultimately rebound against them. It is now evident that SPLA-IO forces, together with the Lou Nuer White Army, are confronting the enemy not as fragmented or independent actors, but under the strategic direction of the Acting Chairman, Rt. Hon. Oyet Pierino. This engagement is being conducted without the influence, direction, or support of Hon. Pal Mai Deng and his associates, whose political relevance and leverage continue to diminish.
If Hon. Angelina Teny and Maj. Gen. Dheling Keah Chuol are urging the people of Bentiu not to confront the enemy under the pretext of flooding, a fundamental question must be asked, which part of Greater Upper Nile is not affected by flooding?
This selective justification exposes a calculated attempt to designate Bentiu as a protected safe zone, effectively allowing government forces to continue killing innocent civilians elsewhere while Bentiu remains insulated from confrontation. Such an approach is neither principled nor equitable.
This conduct amounts to a direct betrayal of the Nuer people and the SPLM/A-IO, driven by narrow personal and political interests rather than collective security, unity, and liberation. It undermines cohesion, sacrifices lives in other regions, and seeks to trade silence for temporary comfort.
This will not be accepted, and it will not succeed. The blood of our people cannot be selectively protected, nor can one community be preserved at the expense of others.
It is only a matter of time before the appointment of the Jonglei State Governor is announced. At that point, the political direction and future positioning of Pal Mai Deng, Dheling Keah Chuol, and Peter Thok Chuol will become unmistakably clear.

The clandestine Memorandum of Understanding engineered to destabilize the SPLM-IO jointly orchestrated by Gen. Peter Thok Chuol, Gen. James Koang Chuol Ranley, Hon. Simon Kun Puoch, Hon. Pal Ruach Duap, and Gen. Gabriel Gatwech Puoch has now been fully exposed. What was concealed under the guise of political coordination has emerged as a profound betrayal of the Gaatmajiok whose lives were lost during the Nasir incident. The essence of this covert pact was to detach the SPLM-IO from its community base and systematically dismantle its institutional strength.
According to credible internal accounts, Hon. Simon Kun Puoch and Gen. James Koang Chuol Ranley mandated Gen. Peter Thok Chuol, Gen. Gabriel Gatwech Puoch, and Hon. Pal Ruach Duap to manufacture conspiracy within the IO. Their principal mission has been to mobilize factions to delegitimize and disown the leadership of the Movement under the Acting Chairman, Rt. Hon. Oyet Pierino. This agenda now confirmed, received substantial financial facilitation from the regime in Juba, enabling its architects to wage an internal political insurgency against their own institution.
Gen. Peter Thok Chuol Luak has succeeded in politically compromising Hon. Gatluak Lew to the extent that he no longer adheres to the directives of the Acting Chairman. Despite his formal removal from office, Hon. Gatluak Lew continues to operate under the command of Gen. Peter Thok, even copying him into official correspondences. This conduct constitutes a direct challenge to the authority of Rt. Hon. Oyet Pierino and evidences Gen. Peter Thok’s central role in engineering the ongoing internal fractures and strategic subversion within the SPLM-IO.
Furthermore, Gen. Gabriel Gatwech Puoch who was tasked by the regime to spearhead counterinsurgency operations has been observed in Addis Ababa financing the persistent destabilization efforts in Nasir County. Testimonies confirm that a local trader, Lam Lew Nyuon, has been acting as a financial conduit, transferring resources from Gen. Gabriel Gatwech Puoch to Hon. Gatluak Lew and his associates.
This network of conspiracy has now expanded to include Hon. Pal Mai Deng, who has been repeatedly seen engaging in both online and physical meetings with these actors. He has also been lobbying select members of the IO Political Bureau in Juba with the objective of influencing them to denounce and distance themselves from the leadership of Rt. Hon. Oyet Pierino. Having been politically sidelined in Greater Lou Nuer by Amb. Dr. Gang, Hon. Pal Mai Deng has now aligned himself with Gen. Peter Thok Chuol, Hon. Pal Ruach Duap, and Hon. Gatluak Lew in furtherance of the regime’s broader strategy to dismantle the SPLM-IO through Gen. Gabriel Gatwech Puoch.
The recent arrival of the individual known as Jacob Dollar in Nasir has further exposed the depth of this collusion. Eyewitnesses confirm that nearly 80% of the Kuerenge population was transported by two boats to stage a reception for him. Additionally, the military command in Nasir dispatched 5,000 rounds of ammunition and USD 60,000 equivalent to 360,000,000 SSP to Hon. Gatluak Lew in Mandeng. These resources were issued as a reward for his role in obstructing the IO Governor’s access to Mandeng.
At this critical juncture, both Ulang and Nasir communities must awaken to the gravity of this betrayal. Hon. Gatluak Lew, Brig. Koang Minyoang, Hon. Pal Ruach Duap, and Gen. Peter Thok Chuol Luak are advancing the agenda of external adversaries and have effectively mortgaged the ancestral land and legacy of the Gaatmajiok. Their actions represent not only political disloyalty but a direct assault on the collective security, unity, and dignity of the people.
