O que é a OHADA ?

A OHADA é um sistema de leis de negócios e instituições de implementação adotadas por dezesseis nações da África Ocidental e Central. OHADA é a sigla em francês para "Organisation pour l'Harmonisation en Afrique du Droit des Affaires", que se traduz em inglês como "Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa". Foi criado em 17 de outubro de 1993 em Port Louis, Maurício. O Tratado OHADA é composto hoje por 16 estados africanos. Inicialmente, catorze países africanos assinaram o tratado, com dois países (Comores e Guiné) posteriormente aderindo ao tratado e um terceiro (a República Democrática do Congo) devendo aderir em breve. O Tratado está aberto a todos os estados, sejam ou não membros da Organização da Unidade Africana.

What is OHADA ?
OHADA is a system of business laws and implementing institutions adopted by sixteen West and Central African nations. OHADA is the French acronym for "Organisation pour l'Harmonisation en Afrique du Droit des Affaires", which translates into English as "Organisation for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa". It was created on October 17, 1993 in Port Louis, Mauritius. The OHADA Treaty is made up today of 16 Africans states. Initially fourteen African countries signed the treaty, with two countries (Comoros and Guinea) subsequently adhering to the treaty and a third (the Democratic Republic of Congo) due to adhere shortly. The Treaty is open to all states, whether or not members of the Organisation of African Unity.
