5 months ago, as stray cat rescuers, we found a female cat with a huge lump on her neck. It was decided immediately, she needed an operation and medical treatment. We drove the cat to a vet and she got an operation on the same day.
After the operation she was weak and got a big hole where the lump was before. The doctor said we need to put a special cream twice a day until the wound heals itself. Of course we could not let her go back to the streets and we knew the recovery process was going to take months.
We noticed at some point the fertile female cat started to gain extra weight. Seems our patient is gonna be mommy, we thought.
We drove her to the doctor again, she got an ultrasound examination and that’s how we figured out the cat was pregnant with Bella and 3 of her siblings.
Funny thing, the kittens were born on the same day in the evening when we returned back home 😄 We got + 4 cats in one day 🙈
Sad side of the story, all the kittens got a bunch of problems from the stray cat mother. They were dewormed, sprayed from fleas, but the biggest problem was fungus, which needed a minimum of 3 weeks for recovery.
Thanks a lot to Daniela Ioana for her kindness and understanding the situation, and agreed to wait until Bella's recovery and she got her first vaccination. The whole adoption process took about a month.
Now we are so happy that Bella got a chance to live in such a lovely, pet friendly family 😌 who already got a dog 🐕 and a turtle 🐢. Bella didn’t get only a new home, she got new friends, people who love her forever, a warm, safe and healthy environment for a happy and better life which she deserves! ❤️❤️❤️
