I'd like to thank David Gabriel, Compliance Officer @ JetBrains, for inviting our Business Ethics & Decision Making students to visit the JetBrains Offices in Prague. I had forgotten how good a tech building can be in terms of amazing layout & services for employee engagement (and satisfaction). Really fab offices and the people were all warm and open. It was great to hear what kind of systems and processes they have in place in order to have a great working environment - from the way people treat each other to adhering to the global environment of sanctioned countries. Really appreciated David's excitement around the brand and I know the students really enjoyed the visit.

I'd like to thank Martin Pokorny for coming in to the university to speak with my Business Ethics and Decision Making class. Through an interactive presentation our CIEE: Council on International Educational Exchange students were able to decide what decisions they would make based upon specific scenarios. Martin also shared how compliance works in the Pharmaceutical Industry from his experience at multiple brands. Great to see the Charles University, Institute for Language and Preparatory Studies students asking questions and excited to learn about a subject that is current and a central focus of companies in 2024.

I'd like to thank Lukas Esner, Ethics & Compliance Officer - CZ & SK @ Fresenius Medical Care for coming in to speak with my students. Lukas ran in interactive presentation with a workshop approach to find out the kind of ethical decision making our Business Ethics & Decision Making students would make in a variety of business situations. He then discussed each possible outcome and the reasoning behind each one. Our CIEE: Council on International Educational Exchange students found this interactive approach fun and enjoyed voting for which solution they would choose. In the end I think he may have convinced several future leaders to focus on compliance in their future careers 👩‍🎓 👨‍🎓.
