This simulation shows a 2D compressible flow over a wedge using the immersed boundary method (IBM) ran on simulation platform NumericalAI (https://numericalai.net/). A uniform supersonic inflow interacts with a rigid wedge, generating an attached oblique shock at the leading edge and a complex wake downstream. The animation here shows pressure contours, highlighting the sharp pressure rise across the shock and lower-pressure regions in the wake.
