📷 🚁 Volunteer Drone Engineering Team – Full Pitch & Role Description
🔷 Our Mission
This is a volunteer technical initiative in direct support of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade—one of the most elite and combat-proven formations in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Formed by veterans of the Azov Regiment and other experienced fighters, the 3rd Assault Brigade is widely regarded as Ukraine’s most effective combat unit, known for its professionalism, offensive momentum, and success in key battles such as Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and other critical directions on the eastern front.
Our mission is to increase the combat tempo of the brigade’s FPV strike-drone pilots. Every hour a frontline operator spends repairing drones or solving technical issues is time lost from critical missions—searching for enemy positions, conducting strikes, and supporting infantry maneuvers.
That’s where we come in.
Our volunteer team focuses on building, customizing, and repairing FPV drones, relay platforms, and ground control systems, so that operators can spend less time in the workshop—and more time hitting targets.
This is a direct support mission with real tactical impact. No bureaucracy. No delays. Just results.

🔧 Key Responsibilities
FPV Drone Engineering
• Assemble FPV drones from frames, motors, ESCs, flight controllers, GPS, cameras, and antennas.
• Build new drone configurations from scratch, optimized for different mission types.
• Tune PID controllers, calibrate ESCs, and configure flight firmware (Betaflight, INAV, PX4).
• Set up telemetry, RSSI, failsafe systems, and log capture tools.
• Diagnose and repair hardware: ESCs, FCs, VTXs, motors, wiring, power distribution.
• Develop and install custom hardware modules or payload systems as needed.
• Perform flight testing, log analysis, and stress testing in field or bench environments.
• Conduct routine and emergency maintenance to ensure combat readiness.
Relay Systems & Ground Stations
• Mount and configure signal relay modules on DJI Mavic 3 or similar airframes.
• Build and calibrate ground stations for long-range autonomous or FPV missions.
• Analyze and optimize link budgets: dB gain, antenna placement, signal strength.
• Ensure DJI integration doesn’t interfere with flight performance, power systems, or balance.
Customization & Design
• Design and print custom components using 3D printers (mounts, cases, brackets).
• Use CAD software (Fusion 360, SolidWorks) to model drone parts for mission-specific builds.
• Modify airframes and layouts to accommodate unusual payloads or tactical scenarios.

🚀 Join the Mission
This is not a hobby project or a desk job. It’s a direct technical support role in service of Ukraine’s most elite assault brigade. Every functioning drone you repair or build increases our ability to strike enemy positions and protect our infantry.
If you can build, fix, or innovate—we need you to help 3rd Assault.
