Did you know that when male doctors replaced midwives in the 17th-18th century, they popularized giving birth lying on the back - a position that actually made birth harder but was easier for them?

I’ve been in Greece for around a month now. I spent some time on Aegina island catsitting five lovely girls. Having that much space and quiet gave me room to finally relax and reflect.

I started thinking a lot about patriarchy and it’s infuriating the more I think about how women’s rights are regressing around the world.

This might turn into some kind of a series.

I was really grateful to receive these pictures with the New Year's greeting from my ex mother-in-law.
They are photos of paintings I made during my Erasmus semester in Latvia. I had completely forgotten that I had left them rolled up there somewhere.

I wasn’t very passionate about the painting subject.. and I wasn’t particularly satisfied with the results either.

But receiving them at that point felt meaningful since my New Year’s resolution was to paint and draw more. More as a part of personal development and an outlet, without thinking too much of the outcome.

ULYS 10 year anniversary exhibition at Filosoffen last nóvember

I’m finally back after a heavy detox from cat video scrolling, with a sculpture that’s part of ULYS’ big 10 year anniversary exhibition 🥳

The exhibition opens at 5pm, this Thursday (November 6th) at Filosoffen. There will be concerts, snacks and whatnot.
