From December 4 to December 8, 2012, Katarsis Project Space will present THING reflec-thing - the solo exhibition of Jakob Schmitt (b. 1988; Fulda, Germany). Schmitt studies currently at Estonian Academy of Arts and UdK Berlin. The exhibition’s concept relies upon linguistic ambiquity and difference between written text and its audible forms.

A wall emits light back into space. The word "On" is connecting the intermediate gallery space with the colliding view among reflecting things in combination with photographs, operate as documentations of a place—a place that projects a point of destination.
Confounding the visual with the linguistic, images show ambiguous marks that operate like punctuation, as abstract pointers of a visual speech.
