As we move forward toward the upcoming regional stage of the MATE ROV Egypt Competition, we are pleased to invite all team leaders from all competition classes (Explorer, Pioneer, Ranger, and Navigator) to attend an important coordination meeting.
This meeting will focus on:
Clarifying the upcoming milestones and timeline
Aligning expectations for the regional competition
Addressing questions and providing key updates
Ensuring all teams are fully prepared for the next phase

The MATE ROV Egypt Regional Organizing Committee is pleased to announce the official opening of documentation submission for all participating teams in the 2026 competition.
All registered teams are required to submit their documentation based on their respective competition class.

Each class has its own official submission form, aligned with MATE ROV International standards.

Our Story
MATE Egypt Regional ROV competition is an annual local competition which is held in Egypt for who are interested in the remotely operated underwater robots that were firstly launched on 2011 by Delta Square in association with the Arab Academy for science and technology βAASTMTβ, as ROVs perform underwater specific missions according to certain rules and guiding manual. This competition is considered a qualifying round for the international competition organized by the marine advanced technology education βMATEβ Center as only eligible teams are to represent the Arab world at international MATE ROV competition.
MATE Egypt Regional ROV Competition total participants of almost +3500 competitor until 2019 from +20 different universities, +10 different schools with a total of 450 ROVs were built.
Egyptian representatives were crowned first and third places at the MATE ROV international finals in 2018 and the second place in 2019.
