The School of Continuing Education at the British University in Egypt in collaboration with the Center for Drug Research and Development (CDRD), Faculty of Pharmacy are glad to announce the details of the Animal research & Basics of cell culture ( ABC -Hands on workshop)

𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞:

By the end of this workshop, participants should be able to:

• Describe the basic concepts of cell culturing techniques and cell viability assays
• Perform basic cell culture tasks: e.g., sub-culturing cells, cell counting, seeding and drug treatment
• Perform the calculations needed for a cytotoxicity assay (e.g., calculate cell concentrations, seeding density and drug concentrations)
• Carry out the MTT cell viability assay, assess the results and calculate the % cell viability
• Handle experimental animals and execute various drug administration techniques (e.g., oral gavage, intraperitoneal, intramuscular, or subcutaneous injections)
• Perform various techniques of animal scarification, blood sampling and organ harvesting
• Understand the anatomy of a research paper and critically evaluate its findings

هنجمع ما بين الشرح النظري و الشغل العملي في معمل زراعة الخلايا و بيت الحيوان علشان تتدرب و تجرب بنفسك التقنيات الليهنشرحها نظريا.
