Please be informed that the sixteenth St. Jerome Translation Contest was launched on 20 March 2023 and is being hosted by the Conference Management Service in Vienna.

Please note that only SCE translation students are eligible for participating in this contest. All submissions will be managed through our Focal Point Ms. Deena Mansour. Participants will have to submit their registration form in PDF and their translation in Word document to Ms. Deena Mansour at [email protected]

Please note that no more than two entries per language from each university will be accepted.

The United Nations has announced a competitive examination for English Interpreters. Successful candidates may be stationed at Headquarters in New York or at the United Nations Offices at Geneva, Nairobi or Vienna.
The eligibility criteria and the application process are detailed in the announcement, available in English and in French. Additional information about competitive examinations for language staff is also available on the UN Careers and Department for General Assembly and Conference Management (DGACM) websites.
The deadline for applications is 14 February 2023, 23.59 p.m. (New York time).
