SAMAR DESIGNS for Handmade Dolls - from Egypt with LOVE

Thank you for being here, looking to know more about me. My name is Samar Hassanein and I am originally an Architect Engineer, and a self taught doll maker, dreaming to become a professional doll maker spreading love to handmade doll to the globe..:)

My obsession with dolls started from my childhood, as a normal little girl in love with soft and tender dolls. As a grown up I used to collect handmade dolls from every county I travelled to. Dreaming one day to create my own handmade doll, totally Egyptian made, specially a doll reflecting our Egyptian traditional culture and heritage.

Finally I had the opportunity to start my own Brand, and creating my very special doll “Warda” and “Bahia” the true reflection of my first line of Egyptian folkloric handmade doll, expressing the beautiful Egyptian Fallaha with her colorful galabeya costume.
