⚠️ ALERTA NARANJA en Ibiza y Formentera – Jueves 24 de julio ⚠️

AEMET mantiene el aviso por lluvias muy intensas, con la posibilidad de acumular más de 100 mm en solo 2 o 3 horas, acompañado de tormentas eléctricas. También hay riesgo costero por vientos del norte/noreste de hasta 50 km/h y olas de 2 metros.
🔴 Según las últimas imágenes de radar, las lluvias más intensas ya han comenzado a entrar por el oeste de Ibiza y Formentera, con núcleos bien definidos que podrían dejar chubascos muy fuertes y aparato eléctrico.
📉 Ibiza no ha registrado lluvias significativas desde el 3 de junio, cuando cayeron apenas 2.3 mm. Tras semanas de calor y sequedad, el suelo absorbe peor la lluvia → mayor riesgo de inundaciones puntuales.
✅ Precauciones:
• Evita desplazamientos si no son esenciales
• Aplaza cualquier plan al aire libre
• Cuidado en zonas de costa o montaña
• Ante tormentas, refúgiate en espacios cerrados (nada de playas o árboles)

⚠️ ORANGE ALERT in Ibiza & Formentera – Thursday, July 24th ⚠️

📍 Entire island
AEMET has issued an orange warning for intense rain and thunderstorms, with over 100 mm (4 inches) of rain possible in just 2–3 hours. A coastal alert is also in place for northerly winds up to 50 km/h (31 mph) and waves up to 2 meters.
🔴 Radar imagery shows that the first intense cells have already reached the western part of Ibiza and Formentera, with red echoes indicating heavy downpours and possible lightning.
📉 Ibiza hasn’t had significant rainfall since June 3rd, when only 2.3 mm fell. After weeks of dry, hot conditions, the ground absorbs water poorly → increasing the risk of flooding or runoff.
✅ What you should do:
• Postpone outdoor plans for tonight
• Stay away from beaches or open areas during storms
• Avoid driving in heavy rain or flooded roads
• If you see lightning, seek shelter indoors (not under trees or near the shore)
