What are the GPT and MBR?

GPT and MBR are both partition style on a physical hard drive. They both have their characteristics.

GPT, a standard layout for the partition table on the physical hard drive, is short for the GUID partition table. It uses the UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) mode. In GPT, you can create partitions up to 128.

MBR (Master Boot Record) uses Legacy BIOS mode. In MBR, you are only allowed to create four primary partitions or three primary partitions and one extended partition at most. However, it has great compatibility.

Owing to they both has their own model, so you must boot your computer with their own mode. If your hard drive is GPT, you can only boot from UEFI. If your hard drive is MBR, you can merely boot from Legacy BIOS.

Convert GPT to MBR using command prompt

When we meet disk or partition problems, most of us will think about the Windows built-in tool. To some extent, it is very useful and can solve some problems for us like Convert GPT to MBR on Windows 7/8/10. To convert GPT to MBR without data loss using a command prompt, you are supposed to back up the disk first and then convert. Below is the guide to the conversion process:

Step 1: Click “Win + R”, type cmd in the Run window. If you want to convert GPT to MBR during installing Windows, you can press Shift + F10 to bring out the command prompt. After you open the cmd window, type diskpart.exe, and click Enter.
Step 2: Type list disk and click Enter
Step 3: Type select disk n (n is the number of the disk you want to clean)
Step 4: Type clean
step 5: Type select disk n (n is the number of the disk you want to convert)
Step 5: Type convert MBR
Step 6: Type exit

GPT እና MBR በአካላዊ ደረቅ(physical Hard Drive) አንጻፊ ላይ ሁለቱም የክፍልፋይ ቅጥ(partition style) ናቸው። ሁለቱም ባህሪያቸው አሏቸው ፡፡

በአካላዊ ደረቅ አንጻፊ ላይ ለክፍለ-ነገር ሰንጠረዥ መደበኛ አቀማመጥ GPT ለ GUID ክፍልፍል ሰንጠረዥ አጭር ነው ፡፡ የ UEFI (የተባበረ Extensible Firmware በይነገጽ) ሁነታን ይጠቀማል። በ GPT ውስጥ እስከ 128 ድረስ ክፍሎችን መፍጠር ይችላሉ ፡፡

MBR (ማስተር ቡት ሪኮርድ) የቆየ ባዮስ (BIOS) ሁኔታን ይጠቀማል ፡፡ በ MBR ውስጥ ቢበዛ አራት የመጀመሪያ ክፍልፋዮችን ወይም ሶስት የመጀመሪያ ክፍልፋዮችን እና አንድ የተራዘመ ክፋይ ብቻ እንዲፈጥሩ ይፈቀድልዎታል ፡፡ ሆኖም ፣ እሱ ትልቅ ተኳሃኝነት አለው።
በሁለቱም ምክንያት የራሳቸው ሞዴል አላቸው ፣ ስለሆነም ኮምፒተርዎን በራሳቸው ሁነታ መነሳት አለብዎት። ሃርድ ድራይቭዎ GPT ከሆነ ማስነሳት የሚችሉት ከ UEFI ብቻ ነው ፡፡ ሃርድ ድራይቭዎ MBR ከሆነ ፣ ከ Legacy BIOS ብቻ ማስነሳት ይችላሉ።

የትእዛዝ ጥያቄን በመጠቀም GPT ን ወደ MBR ይቀይሩ

የዲስክ ወይም የክፋይ ችግሮች ሲያጋጥሙን አብዛኞቻችን ስለ ዊንዶውስ አብሮገነብ መሣሪያ እናስብበታለን ፡፡ በተወሰነ ደረጃ ፣ እሱ በጣም ጠቃሚ ነው እናም በዊንዶውስ 7/8/10 ላይ GPT ን ወደ MBR ይለውጡ እንደ እኛ አንዳንድ ችግሮችን ሊፈታ ይችላል ፡፡ የትእዛዝ ጥያቄን በመጠቀም GPT ን ወደ MBR ያለ የውሂብ መጥፋት ለመቀየር በመጀመሪያ ዲስኩን ምትኬ ማስቀመጥ እና ከዚያ መለወጥ ይጠበቅብዎታል ፡፡
ወደ ልወጣ ሂደት መመሪያ ከዚህ በታች ነው-
ደረጃ 1: “Win ​​+ R” ን ጠቅ ያድርጉ ፣ በሩጫ መስኮት ውስጥ cmd ብለው ይተይቡ። ዊንዶውስን በሚጭኑበት ጊዜ GPT ን ወደ MBR መለወጥ ከፈለጉ የትእዛዝ ጥያቄውን ለማምጣት Shift + F10 ን መጫን ይችላሉ ፡፡ የ cmd መስኮቱን ከከፈቱ በኋላ diskpart.exe ብለው ይተይቡ እና Enter ን ጠቅ ያድርጉ።

ደረጃ 3: የተመረጠውን ዲስክ n ይተይቡ (n ሊያጸዱት የሚፈልጉት የዲስክ ቁጥር ነው)
ደረጃ 4 ንጹህ ይተይቡ
ደረጃ 5: ይምረጡ ዲስክ n (n መለወጥ የሚፈልጉት የዲስክ ቁጥር ነው)
ደረጃ 5: MBR ን ቀይር
ደረጃ 6: መውጫ ይተይቡ

LG’s stylish mid-range Velvet smartphone

The LG Velvet has finally officially launched in South Korea, following weeks of teases and announcements. As expected, the phone features a “raindrop” triple rear camera array, is powered by a Snapdragon 765, and has a 6.8-inch OLED display with a small central notch. Details about its global launch are expected to come later this month.

We also knew the specs of its cameras, display, and battery thanks to a blog post published late last month. The main camera has a 48 megapixel sensor, and it’s joined by an 8 megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 5 megapixel depth sensor, and a 16 megapixel front-facing camera. Internally, the phone has a 4,300 mAh battery and supports both fast and wireless charging.

The Velvet is available in orange, green, black, and white.

Rounding out the specs, the phone has 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, an IP68 water resistance rating, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. It supports styluses and LG’s dual screen accessory, and it’s available in orange, green, black, and white. Oh, and there’s a 3.5mm headphone jack, because this is LG after all.

The LG Velvet is due to cost ₩899,800 (around $700) when it goes on sale in South Korea. Although the company is yet to announce pricing or release information for outside of the country, LG tells us that it’s planning to make an English-language announcement later this month, suggesting that a release in the US and Europe can’t be far away. That’s good news, because the Velvet is one of the most interesting looking phones LG has produced in a while.
