33 million people across Pakistan have been affected by the monsoon rainfall and floods that have been going on since mid-June. Over the past two weeks, heavy rains have continued. Flooding and landslides have resulted in displacement, damage, devastation, and death.

To help those who have been affected, we’ve just announced additional emergency assistance – including food and cash assistance for those who have been hit the hardest. We’ll also continue to provide food, clean water, and other essential services through the Canadian Red Cross Society’s Emergency Disaster Assistance Fund – which has allocated support to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies – and through the United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund.
