To shift perception, you have to meet people where they are including in their faith.

On June 1st, CareEpilepsy Ethiopia brought together faith leaders, health professionals, educators, and media personnel for a powerful workshop on epilepsy awareness and perception change.With representatives from five+ religious institutions and the Health Bureau in the room, the conversation was honest, collaborative, and hopeful.

The message was clear: when communities trust their faith leaders, those leaders can open doors that clinics alone cannot.

Together, stakeholders committed to stronger partnerships and to changing the health seeking behaviours that shape so many lives. Because epilepsy acceptance isn't just a medical issue. It's a community one.
