Legendary Ethiopian Filmmaker Wins Prestigious Berlinale Camera
Legendary filmmaker Haile Gerima received the prestigious Berlinale Camera at the 76th International Film Festival.
His nearly nine-hour film, Black Lions â Roman Wolves, exploring colonialism and resistance, premiered at the Berlinale Forum. Gerima, part of the L.A. Rebellion, remains deeply connected to his Ethiopian heritage.
