Holistic Relief Organization conducted a project launching workshop in Warabe for the project entitled “Advancing Women and Girls’ Rights and Leadership” in Alem Gebeya City Administration. The project is funded by the European Union through Christian Aid under its Civil Society Fund Plus (CSF+) program.

The project will be implemented over the next one year and aims to advance women’s rights and leadership by strengthening the meaningful participation of women and girls in community decision-making processes, as well as improving the prevention of and response to gender-based violence (GBV) in Alem Gebeya City Administration.

Holistic Relief Organization (HRO) participated in the Innovation Showcase and Networking Event organized by the Ethiopian Localization Lab (ELL) on October 29, 2025, at Tolip Olympia Hotel, Addis Ababa. The event created an opportunity to engage with localization innovators, share experiences, and explore opportunities for collaboration and partnership.

Holistic Relief Organization (HRO) provided a two-day training on Lymphedema Morbidity Management and Disability Prevention (LMMDP) for Health Extension Workers (HEWs) in Tora and Lanfuro woredas. The training focused on case identification, community mobilization, and psychosocial support, and was delivered to all HEWs working in the catchment health posts of the two woredas.

Holistic Relief Organization (HRO), in partnership with the National Podoconiosis Action Network (NaPAN), conducted a Zonal-Level Advocacy Workshop on Lymphedema Morbidity Management and Disability Prevention in collaboration with the Silte Zone Health Department. The workshop aimed to raise awareness, strengthen coordination among stakeholders, and promote the integration of MMDP service into the routine health service delivery system. The project will be implemented in Lanfuro, Sankura, Alemgebeya, and Tora woredas.
