Bula! Welcome to Fiji!

Yes it is marvellous, with waters like these, serene islands, incredible wildlife and underwater caves.

Just one tiny challenge: the waters are poorly chartered or not at all! There was at least one time that we were heading straight for a reef and tacked at the last moment. Another yacht was coming into one of the island anchorages at night, and did not realise that the chart's suggested path was straight over coral, ripping a hole in their hull and having to be towed back to the main island for lengthy repairs. So no sailing at night, and back to old-school navigation relying on eyes up front!
