This fund is dedicated to supporting my friend Ashika Raman from Nadi, Fiji, who needs kidney transplant and ongoing dialysis treatment.

Here is Ashika's story:
Ashika Raman's life took an unexpected turn in November 2022, when she developed severe swelling in her face and legs. After being admitted to the hospital, she was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease at its most advanced stage, leading to the failure of both kidneys. Following a two-week hospital stay, she was referred to a kidney hub for dialysis due to significantly elevated creatinine levels.

Currently, Ashika is undergoing regular dialysis treatments. This year, she has made the courageous decision to undergo kidney transplant in India, with her mother acting as the donor. Both Fiji and India medical teams have approved her mother as a suitable donor.

Ashika's family consists of her mother, brother, and younger sister. Her brother is the family's primary provider. We are knocking on your kind hearts for any help that you could extend Ashika in her kidney transplant journey.
