Last year, our SHAPE-CAR team, in partnership with the iTaukei Affairs Board, continued the review of Integrated Village Development Plans (IVDP) in Rewa. These five-year plans play a crucial role in empowering communities to take meaningful action, ensuring sustainable and indigenous-led development.

Through SHAPE-CAR, we champion Sustainable Health, Agriculture, Protection, Empowerment, Climate Action, and Resilience, strengthening community-driven progress and climate resilience.

This initiative is made possible through the generous support of the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade via ADRA New Zealand.

Our project, WIIRAP Fiji, recently conducted a Value Add and Business Continuity Plan Training in the communities of Naisogowaluvu, Waigasa, and Nabuli on Monday. Each community had over 20 participants, with the majority being women.

The training focuses on enhancing disaster resilience among women by equipping them with income-generating skills, such as creating value-added products and developing continuity plans for their small businesses.

โžก๏ธ This training gives women ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸŒพ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿณ the opportunity to build sustainable livelihoods ๐ŸŒฑ and strengthen their ability to recover from challenges ๐Ÿ”„.

๐Ÿค With support from the UN Women Pacific Resilience to Disasters (WRD) program, ADRA Fiji is dedicated to empowering communities and promoting long-term resilience.
