I’m not oblivious to the fact that my life is a dream right now. Even though I “complain” about small inconveniences, I am so grateful and know I’m lucky to experience the places and things I do. That being said, I’ve been through ALOT of s**t and worked hard to get here, so I won’t minimize that either. Every day I get to do this work, I consider it a gift and I plan to take full advantage of every opportunity while they last. One day it will all be over, and I will not have any regrets left on the table.
There are places that make you feel small in the best possible way. Sitting in front of Kaieteur Falls, I didn’t reach for my phone right away. I just… stared. Let it sink in. The sound alone is something you feel in your chest.
Tucked deep inside Kaieteur National Park in Guyana, getting here isn’t casual. You fly in on a small plane over endless rainforest, then walk a short trail to the edge. And suddenly, there it is.
Kaieteur Falls drops 741 feet in a single plunge, making it one of the tallest single-drop waterfalls in the world. For perspective, it’s about four times taller than Niagara Falls. But what really gets you is how untouched it feels. No crowds. No barriers between you and the raw power of it. Just you, the wind, and water crashing into the gorge below.
It’s wild. Humbling. A little surreal.
And for a few quiet minutes, sitting there on the edge of something so massive, everything else feels… smaller. In the best way.
