Yuyao LI is an amazing Scotland-based artist we are excited to feature in Issue 2! 👩‍🎨

Going from being an accountant to focusing on her art passion is something so many of our contributors have gone through.

What is unique about Yuyao is how she uses her environment as her canvas. 🖼️

Meaning she creates her pieces on the walls of her Scottish flat, creating her own artist retreat. 🎨

Yuyao Li - Self Portraits Sometimes when we say something is ‘ugly’, we are not talking about the aesthetics, we are judging ourselves. A set of self-portraits about understanding oneself and their changes in emotion.

🎉 Today we honor Hollywood actress and inventor, Heddy Lamarr. 🎭🔬

Her work on frequency hopping made our modern world of wireless communication possible! 🤳 By the way, this invention and her work improving aircraft aerodynamics were done during the middle of her career in the middle of WWII!

🎥 She got her start in Hollywood in 1937 after fleeing her husband in Austria, who had ties to the Mussolini and N**i regimes. 🏃‍♀️

Though known at the time as "the most beautiful woman in the world," Lamarr didn't want to be constantly typecasted. So she set off and co-founded her own production studio and starred in her own films. 🎬

Some of her biggest films were made in her studios like Samson and Deliah in 1949 and The Strange Woman in 1946.🎞️
