Three very different films, all moving through sound in their own way.

This month’s playlist comes from .music from — somewhere between melodic house, afro house, and tracks that feel like they were made to be stretched inside a late night set.

“A few years ago, I couldn’t even imagine myself listening to music with a straight kick. But eventually I found a genre where the kick becomes part of the groove itself, while percussion, textures, and melodies reshape the familiar electronic vibe into something much more layered.

This playlist moves through melodic house, afro house, and classic house selections where every track has its own secret sauce — whether it’s a particular rhythm, texture, or melodic detail that gives it character.

House music has never felt like just music to me. It’s also the community and the process around it. I like comparing dance music to fashion, where electronic producers feel closer to fashion designers, while DJs become stylists — styling moods for runways, live shows, sets, and festival stages.”
