BMW club this week 🔥

Up first the Le Mans blue 3 series convertible came In for intermittent engine faults & Faulty lights ❌ With our in depth diagnostics work we narrowed these down to exhaust sensor faults and module issues ✅ both issues repaired on the day and car goes straight back to customer better than ever 🔥

Next up the Red 3 series saloon, came to us with a damaged leaking oil sump 👎 a tough repair but we took on the sump replacement with a customer supplied unit ♻️ and quickly sent the car on its way with no leaks and no worries 🔥

And the 3rd BM of the week was a personal favourite of mine, E90 3 series in for diagnosis of low end power discrepancies 😅 we carried out an in depth diagnosis and smoke testing of intake and vacuum systems. No leaks found on the smoke test which was great but heavy carbon build up was found in the intake area along with dodgy back pressure sensor readings ❌ so with this proof- New sensor, intake carbon cleaning and intake flap delete all advised by us to get the vehicle running sweet again in the near future 👌🏼🔥

Mercedes with the 5 speed automatic gearbox in with us for a strip down and rebuild 🔥 We did some testing with this car after the customer had told us they were experiencing jerky gear changes and occasional limp home mode due to gearbox issues 😅
On our road tests we identified that the Rpm sensors inside the gearbox weren’t reading properly which caused the TCU and ECU to not communicate and create impossible gear ratios, completely confusing the Mercs’ management system ❌
✅ Murky gearbox oil drained.
✅ Gearbox stripped down to bare and all components completely cleaned.
✅ Replacement Mercedes Benz Transmission control unit installed carefully and correctly to the valve body, New connector plug kit installed for preventative maintenance.
✅ Gearbox filled with fresh, manufacturer correct Transmission fluid + New Gearbox oil filter & All sealed in with a new MB sump gasket, followed by one last clean up before running the gearbox to operating temperature and rechecking fluid levels which were spot on.
✅ Gearbox adaptations reset with our scan tool before test driving and noticing the improvement instantly. No more limp mode and minimal clutch wear sustained during the hardware failure 👌🏻
