✨ Health & Wellbeing Session – 4th August ✨

On 4th August, we had another wonderful health meeting with GP Alison. This time the focus was on stress and coping mechanisms.

Together we practiced breathing exercises, danced, moved, laughed, and had fun while learning how to look after our health and wellbeing. 💙

A big thank you to everyone who joined – your energy and participation made it a truly uplifting session!

Another Successful Community Health Session!

Today, the Roma Group hosted another empowering event with our community, focusing on important topics around women’s health. 🌸

We were joined by Rhiannon from Broadmead Medical Centre, who led an informative session on contraception, the emergency pill, and implants.

We were also pleased to welcome Debra from Bristol Women's Voice, who shared details about her ongoing project and how it supports women across Bristol.

🏆⚽ The Roma Group Football Day at Eastville Park! ⚽🏆

Last Sunday we had a fantastic Football Day with the Roma community!

We’re incredibly grateful to the Robins Foundation for their generous donation of football kits and two footballs, helping to bring joy and team spirit to the day.

Thank you as well to Bristol City Council Community Recovery and Quartet Foundation for supporting this event.

It was a day full of energy, fun, and community pride! 🙌

Creative Day at City Academy: Roma Children Share Their Art!

We are thrilled to share a wonderful initiative that took place at City Academy, where 12 Roma children showcased their creativity through art. This engaging session was made possible with the support of the BCC Community Development Team and Officer Ionut Asandei, whose dedication helped make the event a success.

Each child not only had a fun and inspiring experience but also received a voucher as a token of appreciation for their participation.

A heartfelt thank you to City Academy and the BCC Community Development Team for co-organizing this session and supporting the creative development of Roma children.

🌸 The Roma Group Health Event 🌸

On 14th May 2025, The Roma Group hosted a successful Avon Breast Screening session aimed at promoting breast health awareness among the Roma community in Bristol. It was a wonderful event where attendees learned important information about breast screening and early detection from healthcare professionals.

We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Diana, who provided translation during our recent women’s health session. Her support ensured all attendees could fully participate in the discussion. We’re grateful for her dedication to the community.

🩺 On 5th June, we held a women’s health session at Sparks with local GP Alison.

She led an engaging and educational conversation about women’s health, including menstrual wellbeing and cervical screening. Attendees asked great questions and shared valuable insights.
