The Ultimate Fix for Turbo Hardware Failure: Inconel 718 Turbo Stud Kit.
Tired of blown gaskets and loose turbos? We not only see it on some cars that come in for tuning, but its a common question from customers: aftermarket hardware simply can’t handle the heat. Whether it’s a fresh build or a few hard track days, mild steel, stainless, and even titanium studs eventually stretch under extreme thermal loads. Once that stretch happens, clamping force is lost, and your gasket is history.
We’ve sourced these studs specifically for high-stress applications. Made from Inconel 718, this is the same superalloy trusted at the pinnacle of motorsport, including Formula 1. Unlike common hardware, Inconel 718 maintains its incredible strength and "spring" at temperatures where other metals fail.
These studs fit either STD or Hybrid Turbo chargers fitted to the Megane MK2 RS 225 / 230 and MK3 250 / 265 / 275. They may also be suitable with larger turbo installs i.e. Garrett G25 or similar that mount to the OEM exhaust manifold.

A couple of Clio 182's featuring our turbo kits and some extras in for tuning.
Blue Clio 182 - This Clio had had the engine rebuilt previously with some Clio 3 RS pistons and some Catcams 5502428. We have previously tried some of the popular cams alongside our turbo kits over the years and found they upset the spool on the turbo due to the turbo size and log manifold used in our kit. However we had not tried out the 5502428 cams and noted that they were very mild with mainly extra lift. The other concern was the higher compression ratio from the Clio 3 RS Pistons, but after highlighting our concerns it was agreed to give it a go.
We opted for a very low pressure actuator and take care of the engine management with an ECU Master DET3 alongside the factory ECU. The main benefit of using the DET3 is that it also has boost control, so we could increase boost pressure in the rev range if required.
Surprisingly it all worked out well, Spool was effected slightly. Utilizing Tesco 99ron fuel we achieved 250 BHP and 220 ftlb of torque (Graph image attached) Boost pressure was 0.55 bar with 0.42 bar at peak power.
Black Clio 182 - On this one our turbo kit had been fitted to the car some years ago and the new owner was looking for the next step. A recently rebuilt engine that had the compression lowered to 9.5:1 had been fitted and we renewed the intercooler as it had been subject to stone damage over the years. The owner opted for the plug and play ECU Master Black ECU with boost control and some additional sensors for oil and fuel pressure monitoring. Tuned on 99 Ron fuel with on the fly switchable maps, he can choose between circa 240 and 290 BHP. We can see up to 300 BHP from the turbo provided in our kit, but this was tuned mid summer, so fair to say it would show a little extra on a cooler day.
