Legend IL RE - A piece of the worlds finest titanium craftsmanship on a bike. Legend uses Grade 9 titanium tubing to build the Il Re. This offers a rigid and responsive yet very comfortable frame, perfect for long days in the saddle. Each frame is handbuilt to order for the customers dimensions, and this guarantees the best possible fit. The 'Il Re' Frameset features Marco Bertoletti's signature smooth welds. Welding is performed in an inert gas chamber before each weld is lovingly hand finished until almost invisible.

The desired paint job on this particular frame was matte titanium, but with candy red finishing parts, and black key line decals, again 100% custom and fully in the choice of the customer.

This bike has been finished with the newest DuraAce 9150 Di2 Groupset.

Also on our own handbuilt Filament Winding tubular wheel set built on a Chris King R45 hub set- with ceramic bearings.

Handbuilt with the astonishing Chris King R45 hubset!

The Venn 35 TCC Rim - Venn use unique machine automated winding technology for the highest performing, most consistent carbon fiber composite rims in the market. This process is called filament winding, and this is what makes these rims stand out from your standard. In filament winding a continuous tow of fibers is passed through a bath of resin and wound onto a revolving mandrel by traversing longitudinally along the axis of the rotating mandrel. This may sound extremely confusing- but basically there is no joint to the rim. Filament winding is theoretically the best method for manufacturing carbon fibre rims. All fibers are placed under constant tension, in a single planeand in an optimal geometry that has no sharp bends or kinks. This results in the highest possible strength to weight and stiffness to weight ratios,also meaning better performance and greater durability.

Another special feature with this rim : At Von2 these rims are drilled specifically to provide for the hub being used, using spoke angling. For example the rim would be drilled different when using a Chris King hub, to a DT Swiss hub. This ensures maximal performance with the wheel set. The rims will also be drilled to suit the riders weight. They are available from 20H drilling, right up to 32H drilling. Most carbon rims will not accept heavier riders, but there is no issue whatsoever on these rims.

The Chris King R45 road hubs are some of the most highly sought after components in the bicycle industry being engineering masterpieces and examples of true craftsmanship. Those who have taken them apart and seen how they work often compare the precision and detail to that of the inner workings of a watch. Yet they’re light, strong and easy to service.
