PUBLIC APOLOGY TO THE POUR HOUSE PUPS… 🐶😄

It appears we’ve made a terrible mistake.

We’ve taken them away for a couple of days’ R&R…

…and now they seem to think they’re luxury hotel guests.

Last night they even insisted on having leftovers for dinner but not just any leftovers.

Apparently ordinary dog food is no longer acceptable.

We’re expecting room service requests at any moment.

Meanwhile, back in Devizes…

The beer is cold. 🍺

Devizes’ smallest beer garden is looking lovely.

The coolest cellar in town is ready if you fancy escaping the heat.

And we’re open 12–9pm for another glorious summer Saturday.

If the sunshine is your thing, Devizes’ smallest beer garden is looking rather lovely, with plenty of dappled shade to while away a summer evening.

If you’d rather escape the heat altogether, our Cellar Bar remains the coolest place in town and the perfect spot to enjoy a pint without melting.

And if you’re looking to meet a few new people, tonight is our Singles Social.

Well, FIFA finally listened.

Tonight it’s the Men’s World Cup semi-final:

🏴 England v Argentina
⏰ Kick-off at 8pm

We’ll be showing the match in both the front bar and the back room.

No wristbands.
No gimmicks.
No entry fee.

Just your favourite little bar, proper beer and everyone welcome.

And because the festival ales have made it home from Fulltone, we’ll be pouring:

Both at £4 a pint today and tomorrow, while they last.

We’re open from 4pm, with last orders at 9pm, so second-half refreshment planning will need to be taken seriously - but we know that you’re up to the task 😉.

The ball is still the wrong shape, but England are in a World Cup semi-final, so we’ll let it go.

We’re closed today, largely because we are still putting The Pour House back together after a very hot, very busy and absolutely brilliant weekend at Fulltone Festival and we’re a bit tired.

However, we have some important news.

After several strongly worded communications, persistent badgering and one carefully organised thunderstorm, FIFA have finally given England a kick-off time that works with our opening hours.

So tomorrow night we’ll be showing the Men’s World Cup semi-final between England and Argentina, kicking off at the wonderfully civilised time of 8pm.

Yes, the ball is still the wrong shape, but it is a semi-final, so we are prepared to overlook it.

The festival ales have also come home with us:

Both will be £4 a pint on Wednesday and Thursday, while they last.

We’ll be open from 4pm tomorrow, giving you plenty of time to find a seat, choose your pint and prepare yourself emotionally.
