Man Pins are a collaboration between jeweller Islay Spalding and woodworker Louise Forbes. Hardwood pins designed to be worn on a lapel, jacket or kilt.
If it doesn’t have its Man Pin brand, it’s not made by us! 🔥
Note: it is quite hard to see on our ebony pins….but it’s there!

Heard on the radio yesterday that it was National Bridge Day…so thought what a great day to share our Bridge Collection! But then didn’t, then did some research, then found out that contrary to the radio broadcast, the day was not about celebrating bridges, but celebrating BASE jumping! So I’m glad we didn’t make a fool of ourselves there! Phew!
But anyway…we are lucky to have some great bridges in Dundee, and I don’t know if anyone has tried BASE jumping off them…probably not high enough?!
The Tay Rail Bridge and Road Bridge are our biggies, and we made this drawing and collection of laser-etched Man Pins to celebrate them. Each Man Pin is individually cut to frame a part of the drawing making each Man Pin unique - a little bridge composition of your very own.
Three woods - Bubinga, Oak and Walnut - in three shapes, and three sizes, each with a unique laser-etched design - limited edition, only 200 made - available online at manpins.com

❄️ It's beginning to feel a lot like Winter, not quite sure about the Christmas bit yet! ❄️
Anyway, if you're looking to start your shopping and want to keep things local (please do!), pop the V&A Dundee Tea Green Pop Up Events market in your diary - last weekend of November as per yesterday's Courier Christmas shopping supplement!
Extra wee shout-out to those mentioned, although there are many more heading your way!
