A dream I didn’t even know I had. 🥹🤍

I actually only found this article today after Googling SOZO SILVER and Spring Fair.

Yesterday, the Mid Devon Advertiser featured my business after I was selected as one of only 18 small businesses from across the UK to receive a stand at Spring Fair 2027.

This morning I met the Spring Fair team and the other winners, and hearing that over 30,000 visitors from 124 countries attend every year made everything suddenly feel very real.

I’m so grateful for this opportunity. I genuinely can’t wait to see where this journey leads. 🤍

This email made my day 🤍

In 2023 I met Max and his partner at Glastonbury and they bought a pair of my reclaimed silver fork earrings. Recently, one was lost, so they tracked me down to replace it.

Today came this wonderful email and this gorgeous photo.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Max—they genuinely made my day.

It’s messages like these that remind me why I love making jewellery. 🙏🏽

Today, this vintage cake server is becoming part of someone’s wedding day. 🤍

Hand-stamped with the couple’s names and wedding date, it’s made for that first slice of cake… then to be brought out again for anniversaries and celebrations for years to come.

I love taking forgotten vintage silverware and giving it a new story to tell.

One tree planted for every order. 🌿

I feel like SOZO SILVER is finally achieving the things I always believed it could.

Today I found out we’ve been shortlisted for the x Spring Fair Competition. Out of hundreds of entries, we’ve made it into the final 54 businesses, with 18 winning a fully-funded stand at Spring Fair 2027.

Honestly, I’m still smiling.

For years, I’d see other small businesses winning awards and opportunities and quietly wonder why I never seemed to win anything.

Then one day it hit me…

It wasn’t because my work wasn’t good enough. It was because I wasn’t giving it the chance to be seen.

I wasn’t entering.

So I entered on a whim… and somehow won first time.

So when this competition came up, I thought… why not? I’ve got nothing to lose.

And now here we are.

Being shortlisted already feels like such an achievement, and it’s reminded me that sometimes the biggest thing holding us back isn’t our work - it’s believing we’re not ready or waiting for someone else to put our name forward. Sometimes, we just have to believe in ourselves first.

Winning a place at Spring Fair would mean so much for SOZO.

Like many small businesses, I’ve always relied heavily on one big event at the end of the year. While I’m incredibly grateful for that opportunity, I’d love to build a business that’s a little more balanced and sustainable.

As someone who handmakes every single piece, I’m becoming more aware that growth can’t simply mean making more and more. I’d love to explore what wholesale could look like for SOZO, connecting with retailers who value handmade craftsmanship, while creating a business that works better for both me and my body in the long term.

I was actually invited to Spring Fair after exhibiting at Devon County Show, which was such a lovely confidence boost, but exhibiting has always been out of reach financially. That’s why this opportunity would mean so much.

Whatever happens next, I’m incredibly grateful to have made the shortlist.

The final 18 will be announced by Spring Fair next Friday, so until then, I’m just going to enjoy this moment and keep everything crossed. 🤞🏽✨

Thank you for believing in SOZO
