Lucy’s goal when she started personal training wasn’t aesthetics. It wasn’t a number on the scales. It was wellbeing.
Since then, she has fully embraced the process.
We’ve incorporated a variety of training modalities to support both her physical and mental health — bodyweight strength work to build control and resilience, kettlebell sessions to develop confidence and progressive overload, and… a return to running 🏃♀️
The key has been balance. Structured strength training to improve robustness. Cardiovascular work to support heart health and mood. Recovery strategies to keep everything sustainable.
And of course, we can’t ignore her most consistent training partner — Jiji the cat 🐾 Whether supervising floor exercises, weaving through cooldown stretches, or adding an extra challenge to planks, Jiji is always close by making sure standards stay high.
Wellbeing isn’t one-dimensional — it’s built through consistency, variety, and doing things that make you feel capable.
Lucy is proof that training doesn’t have to fit into one box. It can evolve, adapt, and most importantly, support your life.

Times like this are a good reminder to focus on the positives — and I’ve had plenty of those this week.

Delivered by a specialist Physical Activity & Referral Practitioner, the program is inclusive of people living with anxiety, depression, stress-related conditions, and co-morbidities such as obesity, diabetes, asthma, arthritis, and cardiovascular conditions.
You’ll receive tailored, compassionate support, with the option to train 1:1 or with up to 3 friends, plus access to an optional support group if you’d like to connect with others who understand.
